Total Site, Inc to Develop On-line Ergonomics Resource Site will serve vendors and consumers of ergonomics consulting services

BOULDER, Colo. - November 30, 2000 - The initial stages for a unique B2B project are already under way. Micro Analysis and Design (MAAD) has engaged the services of local web developer, Total Site, Inc. to develop a comprehensive on-line resource for consulting services in ergonomics.

Once completed, http://www.ergonomist.com will operate as a juncture where businesses in need of ergonomic consulting services and training providers can converge. The ergonomist.com will use a business-to-business approach, allowing service providers to profile their expertise and experience at the site free of charge. First, consumers fill out a list of needs. The request is then matched to pertinent service provider profiles maintained in the ergonomist.com database. Vendors receive an email with the buyerÕs request and instructions on how to submit a proposal. Fees are only applied to the vendor if there is a successful match and the two parties enter into agreement. There is absolutely no charge to the buyer for using this service.

The ergnonomist.comÕs advent is well timed as companies become aware of the cost-savings sound workplace ergonomics can produce. That growing awareness, together with the Occupational Safety and Health AdministrationÕs recent release of new ergonomics and workplace standards, will make the ergonomist.com a valuable on-line service.
