Improv Group Takes Show to the Web
Impulse Theater Launches New Site
DENVER, CO - Improvisational comedy group, Impulse Theater, launched its web site,
http://www.impulsetheater.com, today. The self-proclaimed longest running show in
the history of Denver theater produced the site as an information resource and a
place where improv enthusiasts can buy performance tickets and merchandise.
Founded by John Bauers, Impulse theater opened its first show on April 1st, 1987.
Since the opening, the show's blend of comedy, theater and audience interaction has
played to over 420,000 people in more than 3,300 shows. Not only does the show
continue every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night in Denver's LoDo (lower downtown)
district, but Impulse also takes its improvised and scripted shows across the country.
Impulse's clever play, "In Search of St. Nick" has garnered critical acclaim for the
troupe and has become a holiday mainstay.
The new web site features performance schedules and ticketing information. Impulse
does not limit itself to improv on the weekend; in fact, they offer customized
private shows, complete with background information on your specific organization and
its people. Impulse Management, a division of Impulse Productions, even conducts
customized corporate training and development workshops. All these services are
accessible through the web site.
Ticket purchases, workshop rate requests and merchandise sales required a substantial
amount of programming and design expertise. Impulse Theater tapped Boulder-based Total
Site, Inc., for the project. Since 1998, Total Site has developed web identities for
clients in a variety of industries, ranging from venture capital firms to toy shops.
In addition to shaping web identities, Total Site, http://www.totalsite.com, also specializes in ecommerce solutions,
web application development, internet marketing and email management.
