Colorado Company Joins Fight Against Heart Disease
Launches New Web Site
WESTMINSTER, CO - America's number one killer is facing a new foe. Myogen, a
biopharmaceutical company based in Westminster, Colorado, is exploring novel
therapies to treat heart failure. The company launched its web site,
http://www.myogen.com, today.
Founded in 1996, Myogen's successful research and development are based on three
key assets. One, the scientific and clinical teams maintain extensive knowledge of the
biochemistry and clinical treatment of heart muscle disease and the clinical
syndrome of heart failure. Two, Myogen maintains a large and well-documented human
heart tissue bank. And three, the research team has made a series of scientific
discoveries that define the molecular mechanisms by which human myocardial
failure occurs. All this adds up to an extremely positive outlook for the company's
future.
Myogen already has one product, Perfan I.V., on the market and two more in the
pipeline. Perfan I.V. is registered and sold in Europe for the treatment of acute
decompensated heart failure.
These products, as well as research and development and financial reports are
available at the new site. Users can check on the latest news about new licensing
agreements or explore specific research programs such as the Fetal Gene Program.
Myogen gave the web project to fellow Colorado company, Total Site, Inc. The
site's vast amounts of information required the developer's experience in providing
logical web architecture. Based in Boulder, Total Site has been tapped for a large
number of corporate web projects. In addition to corporate web identities, Total Site
also specializes in ecommerce solutions, web application development, internet
marketing and email management.
