Local Toy Store Unveils On-line Toy Catalog
BOULDER, Colo. - May 14,
2000 - Successful catalog and retail toy store, PlayFair Toys, announces
the launch of a new e-commerce web site. Customers of PlayFair Toys
successful mail order catalog can now order all of the comany's catalog
products on-line.
Giving loyal customers the opportunity to securely place
orders over the internet and attracting new customers were PlayFair's
primary goals in developing the site. With a proven record of success
in mail order and retail merchandising, PlayFair needed the web site
to provide a hassle-free shopping experience.
PlayFair Toys sought the technical acumen of Boulder based
web developer Total Site, Inc. to bring their electronic catalog to
fruition. With expertise in developing e-commerce tools for start-up
and mid-sized businesses, Total Site provided PlayFair with their search
engine friendly Gold Cart Web Catalog application. The Gold Cart
features Tru-Find technology, secure order capability, the capacity
to manage hundreds of products, and a permission e-mail application.
Responding to a growing desire among businesses to reduce
their dependence on web developers to update information, Total Site's
Gold Cart includes a password protected shopping cart administration
area. The staff at PlayFair Toys has the ability to update, add and
remove products, graphics and content at anytime. Special offers can
be featured on the home page and link directly to the site's shopping
cart. An online manual is provided to facilitate training.
As part of their web development package, Total Site also
included the Mail Mule customized e-mail application that allows
visitors to subscribe to PlayFair Toys' e-mail newsletter. Visitors
opt in at the web site and gain access to new product announcements and
special discounts. The software developed by Total Site automatically
maintains the subscriber list for PlayFair.
Total Site President Brian Hansen remarked that "The internet's
primary function should be to empower users and I think we've accomplished
that with this web application."
